’76 MOVIE AT TIFF2016

“76” is a multi-million dollar landmark Nigerian cinematic production.

’76 movie had its world premiere on Sunday the 11th of September at the Toronto International Film Festival 2016.

The sold out screening had in attendance main cast – Rita Dominic, Ramsey Nouah and Chidi Mokeme, director Izu Ojukwu, cinematographer Yinka Edward and exec producers Prince Tonye Princewill and Adonijah Owiriwa.

“76” has now also been exclusively chosen to have its European premiere at the prestigious BFI London Film Festival. This is the first Nollywood film to be chosen by both Toronto and London film festivals back to back and is a new milestone in African cinema.

’76’ movie will have its European premiere on Sat/15/Oct at the BFI London Film Festival at Cineworld Haymarket.

ABOUT ’76’:

The ’76’ movie directed by Izu Ojukwu stars Rita Dominic, Ramsey Nouah, Chidi Mokeme, Memry Savanhu and Daniel K. Daniel is a love story embedded in treason, intrigue, patriotism and faith set in Ibadan, Nigeria against the backdrop of transition and the struggle for political stability in 1976 and is inspired by real life events that led to the assassination of the then Head of State, Murtala Mohammed.
